Our Tuscan Country Kitchen: Authenticity, Non-Waste and Passion for the Territory

If you love Tuscan country cooking, authentic local flavours and organic zero-mile produce, you’ve come to the right place.

Nestled in the unspoilt hills of the Tuscan Valtiberina, our agriturismo celebrates the traditional cuisine of a borderland where Tuscany, Umbria and Romagna meet.
Here, flavours, knowledge and seasons come together naturally.

Our recipes tell family and rural stories, passed down from generation to generation with passion and dedication.
From Romagna potato tortelli to Umbrian fennel sausages, from Tuscan ribollita to castagnaccio, each dish is a tribute to the culinary traditions that have shaped our history.

Every bite is a journey through family memories, rooted in the land and in the skilled hands of our grandmothers and mothers, guardians of recipes that have defined our Tuscan country kitchen.

A Philosophy of Zero Waste and Respect

We strongly believe in the philosophy of zero waste and food reuse, inherited from the wisdom of past generations.
In our kitchens, nothing goes to waste.

Stale bread becomes the base for soups and meatballs.
Seasonal vegetables are transformed into preserves, sauces and fillings.

This attention is not only an ethical choice, but also a rediscovery of the true value of food, its bond with the land and respect for those who cultivate it.

Cooking with what is available, valuing every ingredient and giving new life to leftovers is an essential part of our identity.
It is how we honour our roots and the future we wish to leave behind: more conscious, more sustainable, and more genuine.

Restaurant Service for Guests Only

Our restaurant service is exclusively reserved for guests staying at the agriturismo.

We do not offer a half-board option.
However, twice a week we organise event dinners, prepared with local and seasonal products and served on the panoramic terrace or in the indoor dining rooms.

On the other evenings (except Sunday), we offer a take-away service.
All dishes are cooked by us and can be enjoyed in the comfort of your accommodation, in complete relaxation.

Breakfast: Organic, Local, Traditional

Our cuisine begins directly with the land we cultivate with care.
Vegetables, fruit, chestnuts, wine and extra virgin olive oil come exclusively from our organic farm.

The same applies to the ingredients used for our traditional farmhouse breakfasts.

Each morning, you are welcomed by the aroma of freshly baked bread and homemade cakes, prepared with ancient grain flours, fresh eggs and jams made from our own fruit.

On the table you will find soft cakes, rustic biscuits, fruit tarts, organic honey and natural juices, alongside yoghurt, cereals and seasonal fresh fruit.

For those who prefer savoury flavours, we offer local cured meats, raw milk cheeses, butter and eggs from free-range hens.
Vegetarian and vegan options are always available and prepared with the same care and attention.

Breakfast is a quiet and unhurried moment, designed to begin the day with taste and authenticity, surrounded by the sounds and scents of the Tuscan countryside.

Tuscan Country Cooking: Event Evenings

Two evenings a week, at our agriturismo among the gentle hills of the Valtiberina, we host event dinners where food becomes celebration and sharing.

On these occasions, local producers join us in person, presenting and tasting their products, offering genuine and meaningful encounters.

Themed dinners and guided tastings create a warm and familiar atmosphere.
Each evening is a journey through flavours, stories and traditions deeply connected to our land.

Dry-Aged Evening: The Art of Aged Meat and Florentine Steak

An evening dedicated to those who appreciate meat in its most authentic and refined expression. The protagonist of this experience is a carefully selected range of local meats, sourced from farms that respect the highest standards of animal welfare and sustainability.

The Florentine steak, made from premium cuts, undergoes a dry-aging process lasting 5 to 8 weeks.
This method reduces moisture, concentrates flavour and improves tenderness and texture, enhancing the meat’s natural qualities.

During the evening, the steak is grilled in front of guests, following tradition.
The open grill adds warmth, atmosphere and a sensory dimension to the experience.

Tuscan Country Cooking

Guests are guided by Maurizio and Catia, expert butchers and meat producers, who share insights into cuts, aging techniques and traditional craftsmanship.
Seasonal side dishes and carefully selected wines complete the menu, enhancing the quality of the ingredients with simplicity and respect.

Tuscan Apericena with Wine Tasting

An evening dedicated to taste, simplicity and good wine.

An authentic Tuscan apericena awaits, featuring organic products and local specialities from a short and sustainable supply chain.

The table includes selected cured meats, naturally aged raw milk cheeses, rustic crostini with liver pâté, organic honey and homemade jams.

This is followed by a warm main dish inspired by rural tradition, such as Chianina beef stew with Sangiovese or a reinterpretation of ribollita made with wholegrain ancient-grain bread.

Wine becomes the guiding thread of a sensory journey, from vineyard to bottle.
A convivial moment to discover a sincere Tuscany, shared through stories, flavours and raised glasses.

The tasting is led by Corrado, a passionate winemaker and guardian of the land, who introduces three selected wines produced by him and by us in the vineyards of Le Ceregne.
These are organic, ethical wines, true expressions of small-scale winemaking rooted in respect for nature and traditional craftsmanship.

Tuscan Country Cooking: Take-Away Dishes

To make your stay even more relaxed, we offer a take-away service exclusively for our guests (Monday to Saturday).

Enjoy the flavours of our kitchen in your accommodation or outdoors, surrounded by nature.

Each day, you can choose from a selection of freshly prepared dishes, made with local, seasonal ingredients.

What Our Guests Are Saying:

” Our family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 13) had the most amazing stay at Le Ceregne this April. Giada is such a warm and authentic host, and planned several unique and memorable outings for our famil as a steak dinner with beef brought in by a local butcher and cut and cooked in front of us.” – Joseph

“Let there be no ambiguity when I say that my stay was exceptional. I highly recommend booking with them. The staff was lovely, their hospitality and kindness never faltered. An added benefit was the tremendous dinners and breakfasts that they served. If there is any accommodation that I can recommend when traveling through the Tuscany region, it is this agriturismo.” – Victoria

” Giada, her family, and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful and peaceful setting with lake view and hiking trails out back door. Food was fabulous at breakfast and dinner and house wine flowed nonstop. Extra credit for being organic and sustainably run! Wish we could have stayed for a month!” – Melanie
